Unknown powder incident at Saginaw Valley State University
Just a reminder of how things are different since 9-11, before that date the custodial staff would have likely thrown out the bag containing the powder.  Kochville Fire responded and requested the County Haz-Mat Team in November 2006

Meijer "ammonia bomb" response.  pH paper provided a very unusual response to the material that was recovered. Material was later identified as an alkaline material, likely a pool chemical and was neutralized.



Meijer was the latest incident that the team responded to, dispatched for an "ammonia bomb" questioning by law enforcement revealed that it was not a bomb, just a container with a very smelly substance involved.
